A diversity of practice.

Monumental civic architecture, large-scale infrastructure development, and the human touch of brand building and consumer products. From ideas to realities — at home with startups, and deeply respected within our nation's most hallowed institutions.

Ryan Bricker has built a truly unique network of social and relational capital, to deliver on the rare and specialized needs of engagements for capital, philanthropy, strategy, and access.

Design is the representation of the intentional relationships of form. Relationships are formed by the result of an intentional life.

Proxenos Group works at that seam.

02  —  The office

In the ancient world, a stranger arriving in a foreign city had nothing. No standing in its courts. No claim on its people. No one to say this one is worth your time.

A proxenos was a citizen of one place who agreed to receive the people of another — to host them at his own expense, to speak for them in disputes, to open doors that would otherwise have stayed shut. He did it using nothing but the weight of his own name.

It was an honor, carved into stone and set where the whole city could read it.

It worked on one condition. The proxenos had to be a man whose word meant something. Vouch carelessly, and you lost the only thing you had.

Not a broker. Not a middleman. Someone who receives you, and stakes his own name that you are worth receiving.

03  —  Discretion

Our work only appears when and where it's needed. By you and for you.

Engagements are confidential by default.

What that means practically: an introduction from Proxenos Group happened because someone staked his own name on it, not because you turned up in a database. And when the engagement ends, it stays where it happened.

04  —  The conditions

01

Fewer introductions, better ones.

Every name put forward is a name stood behind. That discipline is the product.

02

The relationship outlives the deal.

No introduction is worth a friendship. Some deals are declined for that reason alone.

03

Nothing is promised that cannot be delivered.

Access is real. Outcomes are not, and are never sold as though they were.
